Research Equipment & Facilities

The New Dexterity research group uses state of the art robotics equipment and world class facilities.

In 2020, our Robotics and Mechatronics lab was relocated to the new Engineering building of the University of Auckland.

The Robotics and Mechatronics Labs of New Dexterity are equipped among others with the following equipment:
– 6 robotic arms: 2 Universal Robots UR5e, 1 Universal Robots UR5, 1 Universal Robots UR10, 1 KUKA KR16 (on loan from Zuru Tech), 1 Mitsubishi MELFA RV-4FL (on loan from Mitsubishi Electric Corporation)
– 4 custom made robot arms
– 15+ custom made robot grippers and hands
– Lisa Pro SLS printer
– Wazer, Desktop Waterjet Cutting Machine
